Thank you for being a TruthCasting client! It is a privilege to co-labor with your as we seek to honor God and build His Kingdom!
Here are the simple steps to get you live streaming:
Step 1: XML
Save the XML file that was attached to your welcome email to your desktop.
Step 2: ENCODER SOFTWARE
To Broadcast, you will need to use Flash Media Live Encoder (free) or for more advanced options, Wirecast ($499).
To download the free Flash Live Media Encoder, click on the following link: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash-media-encoder.html
or for higher production needs Telestream’s Wirecast: http://www.telestream.net/wire-cast/overview.htm
Open Flash Media Live Encoder and Select File>Open Profile
Navigate to the .xml file that was attached to your welcome email and “Open Profile”. This will load your custom settings. These settings are optimized for all streaming platforms and devices.
Select your Device/Camera
DO NOT ALTER CONNECTION SETTINGS IN Flash Live Media Encoder
Minor Video Settings can be changed when needed. Match the “Input Size” and “Frame Rate” to your camera or video switcher settings. Bit Rate can be raised or lowered if needed to accommodate local internet needs. We suggest never going higher than 800kbps on Stream 1 and 350 on Stream 2 unless you have consulted with a member of the TruthCasting Support Team.
Note: Please make sure both Stream 1 and 2 are checked if you wish to have mobile device support for your stream.
(Important Note: All Live Streams are RECORDED on the server. These files will later be available in the TruthCasting Admin for 15 days for you to add to your archive.) You will not need to record the service and upload it to TruthCasting unless you wish to edit the service in any way. All Streams are recorded automatically. Recommended Cameras and Encoding Methods
To broadcast on TruthCasting, you need a camera + a way to encode the feed from that camera.
Built-in webcams or USB-connected webcams – most modern laptops have built-in webcams. If your computer does not have a built in webcam, you can purchase a USB webcam from most major retailers or online and connect this to your computer’s USB port
Camcorders – many SD cameras that have a Mini DV out port can connect to your computer via a Firewire cable. Most cameras that have this you can use to connect to your computer to be recognized by Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder or Wirecast.
For those using a camera with an HDMI or SDI/HDSDI outputs you will need a capture card. Either internal or External, we have a few examples below.
